 | Celebrate Prematurity Awareness Day (PAD) on or around Tuesday,
November 13th. |
 | Breakfast, lunch, dinner or snacks accompanied by
March of Dimes materials on PAD at your
office, church, school, etc. |
 | PAD breakfast and Proclamation signings |
 | Businesses and neighborhoods tying up in pink and
blue ribbons throughout Nov., or a week or two in Nov. |
 | Radio shows in smaller communities interviewing
Mission Families, Ambassadors, etc. |
 | Prematurity Awareness laps around parks, etc. at
prematurity awareness events. |
 | Light a building in pink and blue lights for Nov.
(put colored films over already existing building lights) |
 | Press conferences with figure 9 of moms,
Ambassador family speaking and giving interviews to the media- can do
this at buildings doing lightings |
 | Health Departments wearing pink and blue in Nov. and diaper pins
or ribbons. |
 | Display set ups at malls on PAD and offering
wristbands and ribbons for a donation- manned by personnel from
hospitals, mothers of preemies, and other March Of Dimes volunteers. |
 | Hospitals lighting-up the week of Prematurity
Awareness Day |
 | Hospitals are going to work on pink and blue
t-shirts to wear throughout the week/month. |
 | All nurses that work in the delivery and labor
units at hospitals wear ribbons |
 | At events in November: pink & blue ribbons attached to prematurity
flyers and placed on tables, etc. |
 | Prematurity brochures at Motherhood Maternity Stores in your area

 | Health Departments and Chambers of Commerce sending out mass emails
with Prematurity Awareness Day press release, etc. |
 | 2007 Prematurity Summit- Nov. 13th at
The Galt House in Louisville |
